All photos are by Jake Ring and printed on canvas, ready to hang. Please send me an email at jake at ringoproductions dot com if you would like to purchase anything listed below. 10% discount for orders of 2 or more. Additional discounts can be discussed for larger orders. My main goal here is to get scenes of my favorite beautiful rivers on as many walls as I can. You should be staring at this stuff when you aren’t there in person, don’t you think?
Fall Trail – 36 x 24 inches – $160
As the caption above mentions, the North Country Trail is overflowing with beautiful scenes around every bend. The amazing visuals exist year round, however there is a certain pop to everything in fall.
Thimbleberry – 24 x 24 inches – $125
Here is my take on this recognizable plant and leaf! The Thimbleberry plant and its beautiful leaves are everything summer and U.P. When the fruit is ripe these are one of the best trail snacks out there!
Late Winter Rainbow Falls – 36 x 24 inches – $160
An Upper Peninsula classic, Rainbow Falls is the final large waterfall on the Black River before it pours into Lake Superior.
Fourth – 18 x 24 inches – $100
Houghton Douglass Falls is often considered to be Michigan’s tallest waterfall. It is a tall, beautiful, and scenic waterfall with pretty good access. It is not, however, Michigan’s tallest waterfall. Currently it sits at 4th on the list, so far. With more adventures will come more waterfalls, and just looking at the topography of the UP, I expect this work to eventually be titled “eleventh” or “twenty-eighth”.
Headwaters – 36 x 24 inches – $160
Lake Gogebic gathers water from the Slate River, Pelton Creek, and Nelson Creek as they flow off the hills to the south of the lake. After the creeks join the river peacefully meanders it’s way to the lake. The headwaters of this great Upper Peninsula lake sure are nifty.
Lake Superior Pancakes – 24 x 36 inches – $160
The ice shapes and patterns on Lake Superior are as numerous as the stars in the sky, with no two days the same. Pancake ice develops off and on all winter long, depending on the season and local weather and wave patterns.
Deep Winter Rainbow Falls – 24 x 36 inches – $160
Not only does the Lake Superior ice change daily, but also the waterfalls of the Ironwood area. Rainbow Falls often generates odd, irregular shaped icicles and shapes as the water does it’s best job to not freeze.
Gorge Falls – 30 x 40 inches – $180
An iconic waterfall that often finds itself as one of the ambassadors for the Ironwood area. Visitors rarely are anything but thrilled to find this world-class waterfall right outside town. *Please note that this image is intentionally a slight sepia tone. This sometimes is easy to miss in the photos.
Upper Peninsula Solitude – 30 x 30 inches – $160 – SOLD (If still interested please send me a message)
You can almost hear the peaceful sound of the waves lapping the shoreline, can’t you?
Potawatomi Falls, Copper Peak, and Bird – 19.75 x 24 inches – $80
A little bit of everything here, including a raging spring waterfall, a distant Copper Peak, and the company of a local bird. *Please note that this canvas is thinner than the rest. I wanted to try the ultra thin wrap and this is the result. Visually you can’t really tell the difference when looking straight on.
Big Spring – 24 x 24 inch – $125
The spring creatively named “Big Spring” sits at the end of Big Springs Road just north of Ironwood, Michigan and flows into the Montreal River. I had wanted to get permission to fly here for a while and finally met the person who maintains the road up to the spring, which is usually behind locked gate. As I hovered above the spring a family of otters bounded out of the creek and into the snow briefly, before jumping back in.
Winter Gorge Falls and Canyon – 16 x 20 inches – $80
Gorge Falls is an iconic Upper Peninsula waterfall. The canyon below is both scenic and oddly linear, creating a hallway effect before finally deciding to hang a left.
